LOVING GOD WITH YOUR MIND:
Women, the Word, and Worldviews
8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14
at East Cobb Presbyterian Church
**REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS ENDED**
What is Christianity? How do I know I can trust the Bible? How can we rely on it in a world that thinks that truth is up for grabs? Join us this year as keynote speaker Megan Almon walks us through Paul’s words of wisdom to Timothy, and challenges us to think about our faith in ways that are vital to answering these questions. We will be encouraged by Christianity’s compelling answers. And we will be drawn to deeper worship of God as our minds learn more about His.
On Friday evening, March 13, conference attendees are invited to join us for hors d’oeuvres, dessert and a time of fellowship from 7-9 p.m. The conference will begin Saturday morning. Lunch will be provided on Saturday.
Early registration: $50 for adults, $35 for students in high school and college
After March 1: $60 for adults, $40 for students in high school and college
Partial scholarships are available by contacting Pat Seeds.
about megan almon
Megan — a former University of Georgia Gymdog and award-winning journalist — has a master’s degree in apologetics. As a pastor’s wife, she has a heart for the broken. She has the tenacity to stand on truth in her presentations, but also the gift of listening well and connecting to her audience. Megan is–first and foremost–a lover of truth. She is passionate about communicating the truths of scripture accurately, convincingly, and lovingly, and training others to do the same. She is not afraid to tackle tough subjects, and is skilled in Christian apologetics, a topic she is excited to be able to bring to our women.
Megan joined Life Training Institute in 2009, and was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Christian apologetics from Biola University in 2011. In addition to working with LTI, Megan has experience working with youth organizations, campus outreach, and women’s groups.
Megan and her husband, Tripp — Executive Pastor at Four Corners Church of Newnan and a former gymnast himself — have been married since 2003 and have two children, Neely and Rogan. Megan enjoys spending time with her family at their log cabin in Newnan and is still known to practice handstands in her living room and occasionally coach the sport she still loves.
Our biannual women’s conference allows us to enjoy each other in fellowship while being fed in God’s word. We hope you’ll join us!
