Spring 2016 studies

A Loving Life by Paul Miller
7-8: 30 p.m. Tuesdays (no childcare provided)
Begins Tuesday, January 5, meeting in conference room A101
How do you love with no love in return?
How do you love when no one notices or cares?
Best-selling author Paul Miller tackles these tough questions at the heart of our struggle to love head-on. Drawing from the book of Ruth, A Loving Life offers the help we need to embrace relationship, endure rejection, cultivate community, and reach out to even the most unlovable around us as we discover the power to live a loving life.

Books will be available for purchase for $10 at the first class meeting on January 5.

Overview of the Old Testament
9:45-11:45 a.m. Wednesdays
Resumes Wednesday, January 6, meeting in conference room A101
In our study of the Old Testament, we are utilizing a Bible study curriculum designed and written by a women’s ministry in Roswell, Georgia. The Amazing Collection is a very unique Bible Study, allowing women who are new to God’s Word to comfortably begin their journey, while a seasoned Bible student experiences ‘aha moments’ as she sees the pieces of God’s Word fit together.

Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges
9:45-11:45 a.m. Wednesdays
Begins Wednesday, January 6, meeting in The Loft
Have Christians become so preoccupied with “major” sins that we have lost sight of our need to deal with more subtle sins? Author Jerry Bridges addresses the “acceptable” sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves, including pride and anger. He goes to the heart of the matter, exploring our feelings of shame and grief and opening a new door to God’s forgiveness and grace. Travel down the road of spiritual formation with Jerry and discover your true identity as a loved child of God.

Books will be available for purchase for $10 at the first class meeting on January 6.
