group experiences

During our free time Saturday afternoon, we have a number of fun experiences planned to help you connect with the other women on the retreat and enjoy the area around the Dillard House. Or you can just kick back and relax on the grounds!

Group Experience 1:
Lunch, Sightseeing and Gallery Shopping in Dillard, GA or Highlands, North Carolina
It is just a short drive up to beautiful Highlands, NC, from the Dillard House. Enjoy a fun afternoon of art gallery shopping, lunch, and taking in the scenic areas around Highlands.

Group Experience 2:
Tallulah Gorge
The park’s breathtaking views and the town’s rich history make this area a favorite stopping point along U.S. Highway 441.

Group Experience 3:
Farm Zoo
Just want to take it easy? Stroll around the Dillard property and check out the animals in their Farm Zoo.

Group Experience 4:
Walking Tour/Museum
For a small admission fee, visitors can take a self-guided walking tour of the Foxfire Museum along a trail that climbs the property, winding throughout the cabins and grounds. Admission is $6.

Group Experience 5:
Wine Tasting
At an altitude of 2,000 feet, wine-friendly soils, and well-drained slopes make the North Georgia Mountains are the idyllic location for vineyards that produce the tender grapes needed for exceptional wine. The surprisingly recent addition of several Georgia wineries brings a great deal of excitement to local and visiting wine connoisseurs. As visitors attend the Georgia wineries for wine tasting, winery tours, festivals and events, they are pleasantly surprised. Each winery proudly serves distinctive wines in a beautiful mountain atmosphere.
